A delicious family meal, with round steak and a homemade barbecue sauce. Ingredients:
1 -1 1/2 lb round steak, about 1 1/2 inches thick |
2 tablespoons olive oil |
1 clove garlic, minced |
1/4 cup vinegar |
1 tablespoon packed brown sugar |
1 teaspoon paprika |
2 tablespoons worcestershire sauce |
1/2 cup ketchup |
1 teaspoon salt |
1 teaspoon dry mustard |
1/4 teaspoon pepper |
Directions:
1. Cut round steaks into crosswise slices about 1/2 inch wide. 2. Heat oil; brown steak on all sides. 3. Use a slotted spoon to remove meat to a baking dish; set aside. 4. Pour off fat, then place remaining ingredients in skillet; bring to a boil then reduce heat and simmer for 2 minutes. 5. Pour over steak, cover tightly with foil, and bake at 350° for 1 hour. 6. Uncover and bake for 30 minutes longer. 7. Serve with rice or potatoes and a salad. 8. Barbecue round steak recipe serves 4 to 6. |
