In a pinch-use pre-cooked frozen meat balls. Ingredients:
1 1/2 lbs ground beef |
1/2 cup quick oats |
1/2 cup chopped onion |
1/2 cup milk |
2 1/2 tsp salt |
1/8 tsp pepper |
2 tbsp sugar |
2 tbsp flour |
3 tbsp hot fat |
1 16 oz can tomatoes (mashed) |
2 tbsp worcestershire sauce |
2 tbsp vinegar |
1 tsp chili powder |
Directions:
1. Mix well beef, oats, onion, milk, 1 1/2 tsp salt and pepper. Roll in flour and brown in fat. Drain off grease. Mix remaining ingredients and pour over meat balls. Cover and cook slowly about 40 minutes. |
