Ingredients:
1 1/2 pounds fresh green beans, snapped |
2 tablespoons finely chopped onion |
1 tablespoon finely chopped green pepper |
1/4 cup butter or margarine |
1/4 cup chili sauce |
1/4 cup vinegar |
1 tablespoon prepared mustard |
1 teaspoon prepared horseradish |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
1/2 teaspoon curry powder |
1/8 teaspoon red pepper |
Directions:
1. Cook beans, covered, in a small amount of boiling salted water 1 hour or until beans are tender. Drain; reserve 1 1/2 cups liquid. 2. Saute onion and green pepper in butter in a large skillet until tender. Add chili sauce, vinegar, mustard, horseradish, salt, curry powder, red pepper, and reserved cooking liquid. Cook over medium heat 5 minutes. Add beans; simmer 10 minutes. |
