Smothered in a savory sauce, baby back ribs will spice up your backyard barbecue. Ingredients:
2 tablespoons olive oil |
1 onion, chopped |
1 celery stalk, chopped |
1 clove garlic, minced |
1 cup catsup |
1/4 cup brown sugar, packed |
1/4 cup red wine vinegar |
2 tablespoons worcestershire sauce |
1 tablespoon dijon mustard |
1 1/2 pounds baby back ribs |
Directions:
1. Heat oil in a saucepan, then add onion, celery and garlic. Sauté about 5 minutes, until tender. Add all remaining sauce ingredients, stirring and simmering for about 10 minutes. Put sauce in food processor and whirl until smooth. Allow sauce to cool slightly. Bring a pot of water to a boil; simmer ribs, covered, for about 20 minutes. Drain ribs and dry withpaper towels; baste generously with sauce. Grill for 5 to 6 minutes on one side. Turn ribs and baste again. Grill for 6 minutes longer and serve with extra sauce. |
