This signature Creole-Sicilian favorite from New Orleans with a low-fat shortcut or two. It has a lush, buttery-peppery sauce. The bread is meant for mopping up the sauce so none goes to waste. Ingredients:
1/2 cup fat-free caesar salad dressing |
1/3 cup worcestershire sauce |
2 tablespoons butter |
1 tablespoon oregano |
1 tablespoon paprika |
1 tablespoon rosemary |
1 tablespoon thyme |
1 teaspoon black pepper |
5 bay leaves |
1 teaspoon pepper sauce |
3 garlic cloves, minced |
2 lbs large shrimp |
1/3 cup dry white wine |
1 loaf french bread |
fresh lemon |
Directions:
1. Combine first 11 ingredients in a large nonstick skillet AND bring to a boil. 2. Add shrimp AND cook 7 minutes, stirring occasionally. 3. Add wine, cook another minute or two until the shrimp are done. 4. Serve with bread and lemon wedges. |
