Adopted! This must be one of Justin Wilson's recipes, the Cajun Cook from PBS. I love his food and this is really a tasty sauce. I'm not a big fan of steak sauce, but A1 is great in this recipe. Like the tang of it... Ingredients:
2 cups onions, chopped |
1/2 cup wine vinegar |
1/2 cup bell pepper, chopped |
4 teaspoons salt |
1/2 cup olive oil |
1/4 cup louisiana hot sauce |
2 tablespoons garlic, chopped |
1 1/2 cups dry red wine |
2 cups ketchup |
1/2 teaspoon celery seed |
2 tablespoons parsley, dried |
1 cup steak sauce |
2 tablespoons lemon juice |
Directions:
1. Saute onions and bell pepper in olive oil. 2. Add garlic, wine and the rest of the ingredients. 3. Bring to a boil. 4. Cover, then cook over a low fire for at least 2 hours. 5. Use on finished barbecue, NOT AS A BASTING SAUCE. |
