Make your own barbecuesauce/marinade. You will never go back to the ones out off the store. Ingredients:
1 teaspoon cumin seed |
5 cloves |
2 tablespoons fennel seeds, crushed |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
1 teaspoon ground black pepper |
1/4 cup fresh thyme |
1/4 cup fresh rosemary |
1 orange, zested and juiced |
8 garlic cloves |
4 teaspoons sweet smoked paprika |
6 tablespoons balsamic vinegar |
1/2 cup tomato ketchup |
8 tablespoons olive oil |
5 bay leaves |
Directions:
1. Grind the cumin seeds and fennel seeds and cloves in a bowl with the salt and pepper. 2. Chop the rosemary and thyme leaves, orange zest and garlic together finely. 3. Put into a bowl with the spices. 4. At the balsamic vinegar, ketchup and olive oil. 5. Mix together. 6. Rub the sauce over your meat. Let the meat rest for at least 1 hour. Better to put the marinade ont the meat the night before. |
