I received this recipe from a friend 30 plus years ago. It has been my favorite for just as long. Tastes great on chicken or ribs. Ingredients:
1 large onion, diced |
2 tablespoons olive oil |
2 tablespoons heaping sugar |
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon |
1 cup ketchup |
2 teaspoons vinegar |
1 cup water |
salt |
1/2 teaspoon chili powder |
Directions:
1. Brown onion in olive oil in a medium saucepan. 2. Add sugar, cinnamon and ketchup. 3. Cook a few minutes and add vinegar, water, salt, and chili powder. 4. Simmer until thickened a bit. |
