This sauce can be made fresh while your meat is cooking on the grill. I especially like the sauce with my baby back ribs recipe. The sauce compliments the rub used on the ribs perfectly. Ingredients:
2 cups ketchup |
1 cup apple cider or 1 cup apple juice |
2 tablespoons worcestershire sauce |
2 tablespoons molasses |
2 tablespoons cider vinegar |
2 tablespoons brown sugar |
2 tablespoons yellow mustard |
1/2 teaspoon black pepper |
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper |
Directions:
1. Combine all ingredients in a 4-quart saucepan; heat to boiling over high heat. 2. Reduce heat to low and simmer, uncovered, 30 to 40 minutes or until sauce thickens slightly, stirring occasionally. |
