So yummy, these are addicting. A family tried and true favorite. I make a ton of these meatballs and freeze them. I serve these with rice. My family gobbles this up and I bet yours will too. Ingredients:
1 1/2 lbs ground beef |
1/4 cup evaporated milk |
1 cup quick oats |
1/4 teaspoon pepper |
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder |
1 egg |
1/2 cup chopped onion |
1 teaspoon salt |
1 teaspoon chili powder |
2 cups ketchup |
16 ounces tomato sauce |
1 1/2 cups brown sugar |
3 teaspoons liquid smoke |
Directions:
1. Mix the beef, milk, oats, pepper, garlic powder, egg, chopped onion, salt and chili powder together. 2. Form into 1 inch balls. (I use my cookie scoop-like a small ice cream scoop). 3. Place in 9 x 13 pan. 4. Mix the ketchup, tomato sauce, brown sugar and liquid smoke together. 5. Pour over meatballs. 6. Cover pan with foil. 7. Cook for 45 minutes in a 350 oven. 8. Take the foil off and cook 15 minutes longer. 9. Serve with rice. |
