1st place winner submitted by Hazel Catlin. I found this recipe in The Evening Times Holiday Cookbook newspaper. I have not tried this recipe, but I'm posting this recipe for safe keeping. Ingredients:
1 lb hot dog (wieners) |
1 1/2 cups barbecue sauce |
2 tablespoons brown sugar |
1/2 teaspoon dry mustard |
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg |
Directions:
1. Cut wieners in 1/2 -inch pieces. 2. In a 2-quart glass casserole dish, combine barbecue sauce, brown sugar, dry mustard and nutmeg. Add wieners and stir. Cover and cook until heated through. 3. Serve with toothpicks. |
