Ingredients:
1 bacon slice, cut into 1-inch pieces |
1 medium onion, chopped |
1/2 cup ketchup |
1/2 cup apple juice |
1 tablespoon white vinegar |
1 teaspoon prepared mustard |
1 teaspoon worcestershire sauce |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
1/8 teaspoon pepper |
3 tablespoons sugar |
12 ounces cooked roast beef, thinly sliced |
4 kaiser rolls, split |
Directions:
1. Cook bacon in a medium saucepan over medium-high heat 3 to 4 minutes; add onion, and sauté 3 to 5 minutes or until bacon is crisp and onion is tender. Stir in ketchup and next 6 ingredients; bring mixture to a boil. Cover, reduce heat, and simmer, stirring occasionally, 15 to 20 minutes. Stir in sugar and sliced beef. Serve warm on kaiser rolls. |
