Whole chicken on a spit. From Purity Flour Cookbook. Ingredients:
1 cup ginger ale |
1/2 cup orange juice |
1/2 cup chopped onion |
1/4 cup corn syrup |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
1/2 teaspoon ginger |
1/4 teaspoon pepper |
3 lbs broiling chicken |
Directions:
1. Allow to marinade 2 hours. 2. Drain chicken reserving liquid. 3. Balance on barbeque spit. 4. Barbeque, rotating spit, over medium hot coals for 1 1/2 hrs or until chicken is tender. 5. Brush occasionally with liquid. |
