A delicious but easy Chinese chicken dish. I found this a long time ago on the internet Ingredients:
9 oz boneless chicken breasts and thighs |
1 tsp scallions, shredded |
1 tsp sesame paste |
2 tsp chili oil |
1 tsp sugar |
1 tb soy sauce |
1/8 tsp schezwan ground peppercorn |
1/2 tsp sesame oil |
Directions:
1. Poach the chicken in boiling water to cover for 10 minutes, or until cooked. Remove, drain and let cool. 2. Beat the skin side lightly to loosen the fibers with the side of a meat cleaver or a rolling pin (hence the name bang bang) Peel off the skin and tear the chicken into long strips with your fingers. Arrange the chicken strips in a dish and sprinkle with the scallion shreds. 3. Mix together the sesame paste, chili oil, sugar, soy sauce, ground peppercorns and sesame oil. Pour overr the scallions and chicken and mix until coated and serve. |
