I have not tried this recipe. I got this recipe from Ossg Recipes. For a more decadent flavor, use 1 cup Splenda and 3 tbsp Brown Sugar Twin (the Canadian/Cyclamate variety works best.) (Also excellent with 1/2 Cup chopped walnuts or hazelnuts added!). Ingredients:
1 cup butter, softened at room temperature (2 sticks) |
1 1/4 cups splenda sugar substitute |
5 eggs, at room temperature |
2 cups almond flour |
1 teaspoon baking powder |
1 teaspoon cinnamon |
1/8 teaspoon ground cloves |
2 teaspoons banana extract |
1 teaspoon vanilla extract |
Directions:
1. Cream butter and Splenda well. Add eggs - one at a time - beating well after. 2. each. Mix almond flour with baking powder and spices. Add egg to mixture a little at a time while beating. Add banana and vanilla extracts. 3. Pour into greased 9 -10 Springform pan (or 9 round cake pan) and bake at 350°F for 50-55 minutes. |
