This bread is so moist, so delicious. And it makes a huge amount! Be sure to give some away to the neighbors, they'll love you for it! Ingredients:
1/4 cup white sugar |
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon |
3/4 cup butter |
3 cups white sugar |
3 eggs |
6 bananas, mashed |
1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg |
1/8 teaspoon ground cloves |
16 oz sour cream |
2 teaspoons vanilla extract |
2 teaspoons ground cinnamon |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
3 tsp baking soda |
4 1/2 cups white flour |
1 cup walnuts, chopped |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 300. Grease 4 7x3 loaf pans. In a small bowl, stir together 1/4 white sugar and 1 tsp of cinnamon. Dust pans lightly with cinn/sugar mix. 2. In a large bowl, cream butter and 3 cups sugar. Mix in eggs, mashed bananas, sour cream, and vanilla. 3. In a separate bowl, stir together the cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg, salt, baking soda, and flour. Mix dry ingredients into the wet. Stir in Nuts. Divide evenly into prepared pans. 4. Bake for 1 hour, until a toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. 5. *if you (like me) don't have 4 7x3 loaf pans, (I used 2 loaf pans and 1 cake pan) - Up the heat to 325 and bake for 1 hr and 10 minutes. |
