This is another dessert sauce I've had for awhile. It's wonderful over vanilla ice cream or pound cake. I like it because it's ready in about 10 minutes. You can substitute another liquer or juice for a change of flavour ( I like pineapple). Also try one of the flavoured rums (love that coconut rum). Ingredients:
3 tablespoons unsalted butter (i admit it, i've used regular butter) |
1/3 cup brown sugar |
3 tablespoons rum |
2 tablespoons orange liqueur (or orange juice) |
3 bananas, ripe & sliced |
Directions:
1. Melt butter in a frying pan. Add the sugar & cook, stirring, over medium heat until dissolved. Add rum and liquer (or juice). Then add sliced bananas and stir until they are coated and the mixture is hot. 2. Serve slightly cooled. |
