This recipe, when compared to a full sugar version, has a 26 percent reduction in calories, a 25 percent reduction in carbohydrates and a 37 percent reduction in sugars. Adapted from the American Diabetes Association. ripe banana, Splenda® No Calorie Sweetener, reduced fat milk, frozen unsweetened raspberries cvt Ingredients:
1 ripe banana, sliced |
5 g (5 packets) equal or splenda® no calorie sweetener |
1/2 cup lowfat milk |
1 1/4 cups frozen unsweetened raspberries |
Directions:
1. Place sliced banana on a plate and freeze for 10 minutes or until slightly firm. 2. Combine all ingredients in the jar of a blender. Blend on medium speed until smooth. Pour into glasses and enjoy. |
