Banana Pecan Streusel French Toast |

these have a reall wonderful flavor plus they make your kitchen smell so great Ingredients:
7 slices texas bread-3/4 cubes |
4 ripe bananas, mashed (1 1/3 c.) |
1-12 oz. can evap. milk |
3 beaten eggs |
1 tbs. vanilla |
1 tsp. cinnamon |
1/4 tsp. almond extract |
in a large bowl stir together bananas, milk, eggs, sugar, vanilla, cinnamon and almond extract. place bread cubes in a lightly greased 9 x 13 pan. pour egg mixture evenly over bread. top with streusel mix. cover and refrigerate overnight. |

1/4 c. brown sugar |
2 tbs. flour |
1 tbs. melted butter |
1/2 c. chopped pecans |
streusel--in a small bowl combine brown sugar, flour, butter, and cinnamon. stir in pecans. |
bake at 350 degrees for about 40-45 minutes or until lightly browned. let stand 10 minutes before serving. |
Directions:
1. Amaretto Sauce 2. 1/2 cup butter (1 stick) 3. 1 cup powdered sugar 4. 1/4 cup Amaretto 5. 1 egg yolk 6. Melt butter and sugar together in a small pan over low heat. Add amaretto and egg yolk, cooking and stirring for two more minutes. Top each serving with a small amount of sauce and sliced bananas. |
