These pancakes are light, healthy and best of all delicious! Serve with a cup of unsweetened berries instead of syrup and it is a perfect breakfast!!! These are great if you are watching your weight and want a pancake - no sugar or saturated fat. Ingredients:
1 large banana, ripe (or two smaller ones) |
1 teaspoon cinnamon |
1/2 cup old-fashioned oatmeal |
1 scoop vanilla protein powder (i like eas whey protein or myoplex) |
8 ounces egg whites |
Directions:
1. You will need a hot skillet, so you may want to warm it up now. 2. Cut the banana into chunks. 3. Place all ingredients into a blender. 4. Blend to mix ingredients (chop the oats and smooth out the banana). 5. Pour batter into skillet forming pancakes. 6. When bubbles appear on the top, give them a flip. 7. Pancakes are done when golden on the bottom. 8. Note: I use a non-stick skillet and do not add any fat or spray to keep the pancakes from sticking. You may have a different experience, so if you need to use something to keep the cakes from sticking to your pan, do it! |
