This is one from my childhood that we all enjoyed. Ingredients:
1 cup sugar |
1/2 cup margarine |
1 egg |
1 tablespoon baking soda |
2 tablespoons sour milk |
4 bananas, crushed |
2 cups flour |
1 teaspoon baking powder |
1 cup pecans, chopped |
1 tablespoon vanilla |
1/3 cup margarine, melted |
3 cups powdered sugar |
3 tablespoons cream or 3 tablespoons milk |
1/2 teaspoon vanilla |
Directions:
1. Beat together sugar, margarine and egg. 2. Add and stir in soda, milk and bananas. 3. Add flour, baking powder, crushed nuts and vanilla. 4. Bake about 25 minutes at 375 degrees. 5. Melt margarine. Then add powdered sugar, milk and vanilla. Keep at low heat until golden. Stir until smooth and spread on cake. |
