This is another recipe clipping that Mom collected. I am sure there is one here on Zaar, but I just want to put it here for safe keeping. These are all cut out of magazines and I have no idea which magazine or paper they came from. Some are even newspaper clippings. Ingredients:
1/2 cup shortening |
1 cup sugar |
2 teaspoons baking powder |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
1 teaspoon vanilla |
2 eggs, beaten |
2 cups flour |
3 bananas, mashed |
1 orange, juice and rind grated |
1/2 cup pecans, crushed |
Directions:
1. Cream shortening and sugar together. 2. sift dry ingredients together. 3. add eggs, bananas and vanilla in cream mixture. 4. add dry ingredients. 5. Fold in the pecan pieces. 6. pour into a greased and floured loaf pan. 7. bake 350* for 1 hours. 8. when done, spoon glaze over bread. |
