This is an oldie but a goodie. I have been using this recipe for many years with no need to find another. Moist and delicious! I can be known to throw in an extra banana if I have one. The milk does not have to be sour. Ingredients:
1/2 cup shortening |
1 cup sugar |
3 eggs (well-beaten) |
3 bananas |
1 tablespoon sour milk |
2 cups sifted flour |
1 teaspoon baking soda |
1/8 teaspoon salt |
1/2 cup walnuts (chopped) |
Directions:
1. Cream shortening & sugar until fluffy. Add well beaten eggs, then bananas & sour milk. Sift flour, soda & salt together and add to mixture. Fold in nuts and bake in greased loaf pan one hour at 350 degrees. 2. I prefer to make this recipe into muffins so I spoon the batter into greased muffin tins and bake for 20 minutes at 350 degrees. |
