My mother found this recipe on a Bisquick box back in the '50's. She would always take it to the church bake sales where the preacher's wife was generally first in line to buy it. She really hated paying $1 per loaf back in those days! From the kitchen of Wanda Cupp Thornburg, Moberly MO Ingredients:
3 cups bisquick |
2/3 cup sugar |
1/3 cup flour |
1 egg |
1/2 cup milk |
1 cup mashed banana |
3/4 cup chopped pecans |
Directions:
1. Mix all ingredients except nuts; beat vigorously with spoon 1-2 minutes. Stir in nuts. 2. Pour into greased loaf pan. 3. Bake 55-60 minutes in 350 degree oven. 4. Cool slightly before removing from pan. Cool thoroughly before slicing. |
