This is easy to put together, lower in fat then many, and freezes very well. Ingredients:
1/4 cup shortening |
1/4 cup sugar |
1 egg |
1 medium banana, sliced |
1/4 cup milk |
1 1/2 cups flour |
2 teaspoons baking powder |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
1/3 cup brown sugar |
1/3 cup walnuts, chopped |
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon |
Directions:
1. Cream shortening and sugar. Add egg, banana and milk. Beat until smooth. 2. Add sifted dry ingredients. 3. Spread in greased 11x7-inch pan. 4. Combine topping and sprinkle over batter. 5. Bake at 375 degrees for 25-30 minutes. 6. Best served warm. Great with your morning cuppa . |
