Originally from the Chiquita Banana recipe book, I found this on Ingredients:
4 bananas, firm all-yellow |
2 tablespoons butter, melted |
2 tablespoons lemon juice (lime juice works too) |
1/2 cup unsweetened dried shredded coconut |
Directions:
1. Peel bananas and cut crosswise into halves. 2. Place into a well-greased baking dish. 3. Brush thoroughly with butter or margarine, then with lemon or lime juice. 4. Sprinkle bananas with coconut. 5. Bake in a moderate oven (375 degrees) 15 to 20 minutes, or until coconut is browned and bananas are tender - easily pierced with a fork. 6. Garnish with sliced pineapple, orange slices and cherries, if desired. Serve hot. |
