A lower fat recipe. Ingredients:
1 cup whole wheat flour |
1 cup all-purpose flour |
1 teaspoon baking powder |
1 teaspoon baking soda |
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon |
1/4 teaspoon salt |
1/8 teaspoon clove |
1/4 cup margarine |
3/4 cup brown sugar |
1 egg, lightly beaten |
2 egg whites, lightly beaten |
2 large ripe bananas, mashed |
1 1/4 teaspoons vanilla extract |
2 carrots, grated fine |
1/2 cup chopped walnuts |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. 2. Mix all ingredients together in a mixing bowl. 3. Pour batter into a greased loaf pan. 4. Bake in preheated oven for 1 hour, or until toothpick inserted comes out clean. |
