Banana Cake With Caramel Frosting |

This is an incredibly moist cake full of banana flavor and a great frosting. Hope you enjoy it as much as we do. Ingredients:
1 box yellow cake mix |
1/2 cup packed light brown sugar |
1 teaspoon cinnamon |
1 cup ripe bananas mashed |
1 cup water |
1/3 cup vegetable oil |
3 eggs |
caramel frosting |
1 stick butter |
1/2 cup packed light brown sugar |
1/2 cup packed dark brown sugar |
1/4 cup milk |
2 cups powdered sugar sifted |
1 teaspoon vanilla |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350. 2. Lightly grease and flour rectangular cake pan. 3. Place cake mix, brown sugar and cinnamon in a mixing bowl. 4. Add bananas, water, oil and eggs then blend on low speed for 1 minute and scrape sides down then increase speed to medium and mix 2 minutes. 5. Pour into pan and bake for 35 minutes. 6. Allow to cool completely then make frosting. 7. Prepare frosting by placing butter and brown sugars in a heavy saucepan over medium heat then stir and cook until mixture comes to a boil. 8. Add milk then stir and bring back to boil. 9. Remove pan from heat and add the powdered sugar and vanilla. 10. Beat with a whisk until smooth then immediately pour over cooled cake. 11. Garnish with toasted pecans. |
