Moist with deep flavor, this cake was famous at the Borobudur Hotel in Jakarta, where you could buy it whole or by the slice. Ingredients:
100 g unsalted butter |
200 g granulated sugar |
3 pureed bananas |
3 whole eggs |
225 g cake flour |
1 teaspoon baking powder |
1 teaspoon baking soda |
2 teaspoons fresh milk |
2 teaspoons dark rum |
Directions:
1. Cream butter and sugar together until fluffy. 2. Combine the pureed bananas with the eggs, and slowly add this to the sugar-butter mixture. Mix well. 3. Sift together the flour, baking powder and baking salt,and add this to above mixture. 4. Add in the milk and the rum. 5. Pour mixture into a greased cake pan or large loaf tin. 6. Bake at 180C for 45 minutes. |
