Banana Buttermilk Crumble Bread |

A perfect bread to make on an autumnal afternoon as the warmth and scent from the oven fills the house. Enjoy this for breakfast through the week, or at least a couple days :) Ingredients:
1 1/3 c. brown sugar |
1/2 c. butter |
2 eggs |
1/2 c. buttermilk |
1 tsp. baking soda |
1 tsp. orange juice |
2 c. flour (i substituted 2/3 c. chick pea flour) |
3 medium over ripe bananas (if you can remember to freeze and thaw them ahead of time, that works best.) |
1/2 c. granola or glazed nuts |
Directions:
1. preheat oven to 350 and grease 9x9 pan 2. cream brown sugar and butter together 3. add egg, buttermilk, baking soda, orange juice, & bananas 4. add flour gradually 5. scrape batter in to pan 6. top with granola / glazed nuts 7. bake at 350 for 40 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean |
