Granny's Cajun Cookin' by Mrs. Melba Jeanne Patin Ingredients:
1/3 cup oleo or butter, melted |
1/4 cup sugar |
1/ 2 tsp cinnamon |
1 cup corn flake crumbs |
1 (8oz) pkg. cream cheese, softened |
1 can sweetened condensed milk |
1/3 cup bottled lemon juice, plus more for dipping |
1 tsp vanilla |
5 medium size bananas |
Directions:
1. In small pan over low heat, stir oleo, sugar, and cinnamon until bubbles form. Remove from heat. Mix in crumbs. Press mixture evenly into 9-inch pie plate to form crust. Chill. Beat cream cheese until fluffy. Blend in sweetened condensed milk. Add 1/3 cup lemon juice and vanilla. Stir until thick. LIne crust with 3 sliced bananas. Turn filling into crust. Refrigerate 2-3 hours or until firm. Cut 2 bananas into thin slices, dip in lemon juice and top pie with this. |
