Freezing banana slices the night before makes this creamy beverage extra thick and cold. The smoothie can be served alone or paired with a handful of whole-grain dry cereal or a granola bar for a filling breakfast. Ingredients:
1/2 cup 1% low-fat milk |
1/2 cup crushed ice |
1 tablespoon honey |
1 large ripe banana, sliced and frozen |
1 (6-ounce) carton vanilla fat-free yogurt |
Directions:
1. Place first 4 ingredients in a blender; process 1 minute or until smooth. Add yogurt; process 20 to 30 seconds or until blended. Serve immediately. 2. Young Chefs can: 3. Peel banana 4.
