Soooooo moist! Rich flavors from the buttermilk and vanilla make this my favorite banana bread recipe! Ingredients:
2 cups sugar |
3/4 cup butter or 3/4 cup margarine |
2 eggs |
3 cups sifted all-purpose flour |
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda |
1 1/8 cups buttermilk |
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract |
1 1/2 cups mashed bananas |
Directions:
1. Cream butter, add sugar. 2. Beat in eggs, one at a time. 3. Sift dry ingredients together, add alternately with buttermilk. 4. Add vanilla and bananas. 5. Bake in loaf pans at 350ยบ for 1 hour to 1 hour and 20 minutes or until done. 6. When done, bread will turn loose from sides of pan and knife inserted in middle will be clean. |
