The Grandma version...no low-fat here! Ingredients:
1 cup sugar |
2 bananas |
1/2 cup butter, softened |
2 eggs |
1 teaspoon vanilla |
1 1/4 cup flour |
1 teaspoon baking soda |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
3/4 cup pecans |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. 2. Mash bananas with sugar and let stand 5 minutes. 3. Sift together flour, baking soda, and salt. 4. Cream butter into banana mixture. Add eggs one at a time and blend well. Add vanilla. 5. Slowly add in flour mixture. Add nuts if desired. Do not over-mix! 6. Pour batter into greased loaf pan and bake for 55 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. |
