This recipe was passed down from my grandmother. The banana bread is always a big hit and the recipe is always requested by others. I sometimes add raisins and pecans. Ingredients:
3 -4 overripe bananas |
1/4 cup melted margarine |
1 egg |
1 cup sugar |
1 teaspoon baking soda |
1 teaspoon salt |
1 1/2 cups flour |
Directions:
1. Mash bananas with fork. Stir in other ingredients. Pour into greased and floured loaf pan. Bake at 325 degrees for 1 hour. Pecans my be added to batter or sprinkled over top when you pour it into the pan if you wish. Makes 1 loaf. |
