This recipe has been in our family for 4 generations and will definitely be continued to be passed on. So yummy! Ingredients:
1/2 cup margarine, softened |
1 cup white sugar |
2 eggs |
1 cup mashed ripe banana (3 medium) |
2 cups flour |
1 teaspoon baking soda |
1/2 teaspoon baking powder |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
1 cup chopped walnuts (optional) |
Directions:
1. Cream butter and sugar together. 2. Add eggs one at a time, beating until smooth. 3. Blend in mashed bananas. 4. In a second bowl, combine flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt and nuts. 5. Add to banana mixture stirring only to moisten! 6. Transfer to a greased 9x5x3 inch loaf pan. 7. Bake at 350 for approximately 1 hour or until toothpick inserted in centre of loaf comes out clean. |
