Bamboo Rice

Short grain Chinese Rice with a green-tea like flavor. Good with Summer salads and Asian cooking. Has a somewhat sticky texture. Brightly colored and aromatic.
Ingredients:
1 cup rice (bamboo rice, do not rinse rice!)
1 1/2 cups water
Directions:
1. Bring water to a boil.
2. Add rice and bring back to boiling.
3. Stir, cover, reduce heat to low.
4. Simmer 12-15 minutes.
5. Remove from heat and let stand, covered, 5-10 minutes.
6. Fluff with fork and serve.
