Ingredients:
3 large sweet onions (about 1 3/4 pounds) |
cooking spray |
1/4 cup balsamic vinegar |
1 tablespoon olive oil |
1 teaspoon dried thyme |
1/2 teaspoon dried basil |
1/4 teaspoon salt |
1/8 teaspoon pepper |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 450°. 2. Peel onions, leaving roots intact; cut each onion into 6 wedges. 3. Place onion wedges in an 11 x 7-inch baking dish coated with cooking spray. Combine vinegar and remaining ingredients in a small bowl; pour vinegar mixture over onion wedges, tossing gently to coat. Cover and bake at 450° for 25 minutes. Uncover and bake an additional 45 minutes or until tender. |
