Balsamic Onions

A lovely side dish/condiment- sweet, yummy caramelised onions. 20ml is 1 tablespoon. Source: Delicious magazine - May 2003
Ingredients:
150 ml olive oil
450 g red onions, peeled, sliced
2 tablespoons brown sugar
20 ml balsamic vinegar
Directions:
1. Heat oil over low heat, add onions and cook very slowly, stirring occasionally, for 30 minutes.
2. Add sugar and allow to caramelise slightly.
3. Add vinegar and cook for a further 10 minutes or until thick.
