There are many pinwheel recipes out there, but this is my favorite. It makes a lovely presentation and is clean finger food, great for parties or for snacking. Get creative and add your own favorite ingredients. Read more . Easily doubled. Ingredients:
8 ounce package cream cheese, softened |
8 ounces sour cream |
10 inch flour tortillas |
1/2 c chopped green onions |
1 can chopped black (ripe) olives |
4 packages hormel dried beef slices |
saran wrap, enough pieces to match the number of tortillas you have |
Directions:
1. In a medium sized bowl, mix together cream cheese and sour cream 2. Fold in black olives and green onions 3. Lay out flour tortillas on your working space 4. Using a spatula, spread even amounts of cream cheese mixture onto each tortilla 5. Layer dried beef evenly on each tortilla, taking care not to get too close to the edges of the tortilla (when you roll them up, they'll start to poke out otherwise.) 6. Roll tortillas tightly, and wrap in Saran wrap 7. Place rolls in freezer for 15 minutes 8. Remove wrap and cut rolls on a diagonal with a very sharp knife 9. Discard ends and place the nice pieces on a serving platter 10. These keep well for several days in the fridge. |
