This is a neat desert or appetizer for people who like Baklava but hate the sticky mess it leaves behind. Unfortunatly the shells may not be available in all locations. Ingredients:
2 packages phyllo dough, shells (15 ct each) |
1/2 cup butter (melted) |
1/4 cup sugar |
1 teaspoon cinnamon |
1 cup pecans (chopped or bits) |
1 cup walnuts (chopped) |
honey |
Directions:
1. Melt butter in microwave in small mixing bowl. 2. Add sugar and cinnamon and mix with a spoon. 3. Add nuts and mix again. 4. Place shells on a baking sheet lined with foil. 5. Put enough nut mixture to fill shell. (Make sure to put a little of the liquid in each shell.). 6. Bake at 350 for 15-20 minutes. 7. Let cool. 8. Add a drop of honey to each shell. |
