Ingredients:
4 cups all-purpose flour |
2 tablespoons baking powder |
1 tablespoon sugar |
1 1/2 teaspoons salt |
2 cups milk |
1/4 cup lard, melted |
Directions:
1. Sift together dry ingredients. Combine milk and lard; add to dry ingredients, stirring just until moistened. 2. Spoon batter into 2 greased 7 1/2- x 3- x 2-inch loaf pans. Bake at 400° for 30 minutes or until lightly browned. Remove bread from pans immediately; cool on wire racks. |
