This recipe included in my Grandma's Wartime Edition Cookbook. Ingredients:
2 cups flour |
4 teaspoons baking powder |
3/4 teaspoon salt |
4 tablespoons fat |
3/4 cup milk (about) |
Directions:
1. Mix and sift dry ingredients. 2. Rub in fat with tips of fingers. 3. Add milk granually to make a soft dough use a knife in mixing. 4. Toss on a well floured board. 5. Pat and roll out to 1 inch thickness. 6. Cut with biscuit cutter rolled in flour. 7. Place close together on an oiled pan. 8. Bake in a hot oven 450 degrees 10-15 minutes. |
