This is from an old Pillsbury cookbook that is falling apart. I don't have the front cover and part of the pages are torn. So, I'm going to share these before the book is completely destroyed. Ingredients:
2 cups pillsbury's best |
2 tsp baking powder |
1 tsp salt |
1 cup milk and water, half each |
1 tbs butter |
1 tbs lard |
Directions:
1. Sift the flour, salt and baking powder together twice. 2. Cream butter and lard together, and add it to the dry ingredients, using the tips of your fingertips. Then add the liquid, mixing with a knife, until you have a very soft dough. Place on your mixing board. Pat out lightly until 3/4 of an inch thick. Cut out and bake in a hot oven for 15 minutes. |
