shirley corriher's recipe for sugary chocolate cookies Ingredients:
1 7/8 cups all-purpose flour |
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
8 ounces semisweet chocolate |
2 1/2 cups sugar |
1/2 cup powdered sugar |
1/3 cup canola oil |
2 tablespoons light corn syrup |
2 large eggs |
1 large egg yolk |
2 teaspoons vanilla extract |
Directions:
1. mix dry ingredients, set aside.
2. melt chocolate, set aside.
3. mix remaining ingredients with paddle attachment, then on low beat in melted chocolate and flour mixture.
4. chill dough for several hours.
5. roll cookies into small balls and roll in powdered sugar.
6. bake 12-14 minutes on 325.
