Welsh cookies. Ingredients:
4 cups all-purpose flour |
1 1/4 cups butter |
1 teaspoon salt |
1 1/4 cups white sugar |
1 1/4 cups raisins |
2 eggs |
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder |
Directions:
1. Preheat a griddle to moderate heat 325 - 350 degrees F (165 - 175 degrees C). Grease lightly. 2. Beat sugar and butter or margarine together, adding salt and baking powder. Beat in eggs. Add 2 cups of flour and raisins and mix. Then add the other two cups of flour. If too dry add a little milk if too wet add a little flour. 3. Roll out about 1/4 inch thick and cut out cookies. 4. Place on a greased griddle and brown on both sides. |
