This yam dish is different because it is not sweet. I love how the mingle of the potato, yams and onions come together and melt in your month. I love baking this dish for Thanksgiving! Ingredients:
1 large sweet potato, thinly sliced |
1 large potato, thinly sliced |
1 large onion, thinly sliced |
4 tbsp butter, divided |
2 tbsp flour |
3/4 c vegetable broth |
1 c mozzarella cheese shredded |
2 tbsp bread crumbs |
1 tbsp parsley, dried |
salt & pepper to taste |
Directions:
1. Layer sweet potato, onion, butter, potato, onion, butter and repeat. 2. In small bowl combine flour and broth, pour over potatoes. 3. Sprinkle cheese, bread crumbs, parsley, dot with remaining butter. 4. Cover and bake for one hour. |
