This came from a Church cookbook. Ingredients:
8 cups chopped vidalia onions |
5 tablespoons butter |
1 cup white rice, cooked according to package instructions |
1 cup shredded monterey jack pepper cheese |
3/4 cup heavy cream |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350°F 2. Grease a 9x9 baking dish. 3. Saute the onions in a large skillet with 5 tbsp of the butter until golden. 4. Combine the rice, onions, cheese and cream in a medium bowl and mix well. 5. Spoon the mixture into the baking dish and bake for 1 hour, or until brown on top. |
