These make a nice change from the usual party fare . Ingredients:
1 box dry vegetable soup mix (i use knorr brand) |
1 (15 ounce) container ricotta cheese |
8 ounces crabmeat, imitation crabmeat or 2 cans drained and flaked |
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder |
1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper |
worcestershire sauce to taste |
hot pepper sauce to taste |
40 wonton wrappers |
1 tablespoon vegetable oil or non-stick cooking spray |
Directions:
1. Spray a rimmed baking sheet with non-stick cooking spray. 2. In bowl, combine soup mix, ricotta, crab, garlic powder and pepper. Mix well. 3. (I chill this for about an hour at this point to let the soup mix rehydrate) 4. Place 1 tablespoon ricotta mixture in center of each wonton. 5. Brush edges with water. 6. Fold each corner to center and press firmly to seal. 7. Arrange, seam side down, on baking sheet. 8. Brush with oil or spray with non-stick cooking spray. 9. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes, turning once, or until crisp and golden brown. 10. Serve with duck sauce or hot mustard if desired. |
