Ingredients:
1 lb ground beef |
1 cup chopped onion |
2 cloves garlic, crushed |
1 (16 ounce) can tomatoes |
2 (8 ounce) cans tomato sauce |
1 teaspoon oregano |
1 teaspoon basil |
1 teaspoon salt |
1 (12 ounce) package jumbo pasta shells, cooked |
1 1/2 lbs cream-style cottage cheese |
2 tablespoons chopped parsley |
1 egg, beaten |
Directions:
1. In large skillet, brown ground beef and onion, cooking until onion is tender. 2. Add garlic, tomatoes, tomato sauce and seasonings. 3. Stir well and bring to a boil. 4. Simmer 15 minutes. 5. Combine cottage cheese, bread crumbs, 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, parsley and egg. 6. Spoon cheese mixture into shells. 7. Arrange shells cheese side up in 13x9 baking dish. 8. Pour tomato sauce over shells. 9. Cover with foil and bake at 375 deg for 30 min. 10. Remove cover; sprinkle with remaining Parmesan cheese. 11. Continue bake 15 min. 12. longer. |
